First, homework creates stress and pressure. Students already spend many hours in school. When they come home, they need time to relax and rest. But with homework, they continue working. I think this causes tiredness and mental pressure. A study by Stanford University found that too much homework leads to high stress in more than 50 percent of students.
Second, homework takes away time from family. After school, children should spend time with their parents and siblings. I believe that family time is very important for emotional health. But because of homework, students often miss this bonding time.
Third, it stops students from enjoying hobbies. Children should play, paint, or do sports after school. These activities help them grow. But homework eats up their time and energy. I think students should be allowed to explore their talents, not just study all day.
Fourth, not all students get help at home. Some have parents who are busy or not educated. So, homework becomes unfair. Students who get help perform better than those who do not. I believe this creates inequality in education.
In conclusion, I feel that banning homework is the right choice. It reduces stress, increases family bonding, encourages hobbies, and brings fairness to education.
